Goraksanath
Mahamaheshvaracarya

"One comes to Me only by My grace.
Kamalo, nobody can go beyond Maya,
She eats everybody,
but Guru Gorakh has eaten Her.

Control your asana
your mind and your body
only then will you cross over the ocean of this world.

                              -Babaji Gorakhvani

"Whoever has doubts remains in the circle of Samsara"-Babaji Gorakhvani

Goraksanath is said to be an incarnation of Shiva. He is one of the nine immortal Naths, who incarnates to revitalize the science of Yoga on this plane. Yoga as a transcendental science is practiced on many planes of existence and its effects will affect all levels of your being.

(The Gerandha Samhita states that asanas are of 84 lac (100,000) kinds, of which 84 are important. Of those it is said 32 are beneficial on earth.)

The name Goraksanath appears in the Atharvaveda, Sivapurana, Brahmandapurana, Skandapurana (Kedarakhanda), Markandeyapurana, Mahakala samhita, Yogasastra, Kalpadruma which show that his incarnations have been here throughout the various ages. [1] He is also mentioned in Maharnavatantra, Varnaratnakara, Hathayoga-pradipika, Kaulavalitantra, Syamarahasya, Sudhakaracandrika, and more.

       Sivasyabhyantare saktih sakterabhyantare sivah
       antaram naiva pasyami candracandrikayorival
       In Siva there is Sakti, is the latter in the former;
I do not find a difference between them.

Prasaram bhasate saktih samkocam bhasate sivah
tayoh samyogakari yah sa bhaved yogayogirat
The expansion appears as Sakti, contraction as Siva.
One, who unites the two becomes the king of the Yogins in Yoga.

                                 -Siddha-siddhanta-paddhati

"Look attentively at Mahakal's wheel and his strange ways.
He does not care about beauty, about old age, young age or childhood.
He just turns his wheel and crushes everybody.
But whoever repeats the Name of the Lord cannot be crushed."
                                         -Babaji Gorakhvani

The great Pir Pigambar has also come,
his hands joined in prayer, saying:
"Come Master Gorakh, to You I bow again and again.
You are the support of the three worlds,
the nine secret places, the fourteen realms.
To You the greatest kings, the greatest yogis and renunciates
bow day and night."
They pray: "come Master Gorakh.
Please liberate us from bondage. You have conquered sleep,
which, for fear of You, was hidden in the ocean of milk and given to Visnu.
When the demon Madhukaitabh attacked Brahma,
Brahma ran to Lord Visnu's door,
cried and prayed to the Goddess of Sleep.
She then woke up Vishnu, who fought forcefully against Madhukaitabh."
Goraknath has been victorious over sleep.
Whoever conquers sleep,
conquers Mahakal.

"Do not try to churn the ocean,
Kamalo, churn your mind instead.
There is nothing outside,
everything is in the mind."

“Shri Mahendraji says:
‘Kamalo, stay in the shelter of Gorakh,
do not be restless in your mind.
Forget knowledge and science,
Keep only the knowledge of the Name of the Lord.’
Sri Gorakh says:
I have shown you many paths before,
Now I’ll show you the path of devotion.
First bring love in your heart
And call Me from that space of love.
My form is love, divine nectar.
My colorful place is love,
My asana is love.
My supreme place is love.
Rishis and munis received the divine nectar only through love.
Immerse yourself in That lake of love Kamalo,
Where Lord Samb Sadashiva resides.”
