Yoga Healing Arts Camp needs your assistance.
For several years at various National Forest sites throughout the country we have brought yoga to over one thousand participants a day at absolutely no cost to the students. In the most majestic of settings we provide a deeply enriching yoga experience.
The National Forest sites are incredibly beautiful but they are not readily accessible for yoga classes. The preparation of the sites for classes requires a lot of hard work but it also requires certain items like shovels, saws, rope, massive tarps recycled from discarded pool covers, tents, showers, mats, puja items, and more.
Any donation would further our cause to provide all students with the vital tools for an incredible yoga experience regardless of their financial situation.
I would like to share an experience from the Michigan Rainbow Gathering. A man in tears of gratitude greeted me on the main trail. He shared that after a long history of drug and alcohol abuse his brother had wandered into his first yoga class in our camp at the Idaho gathering. The brother ended a cycle of substance abuse and through yoga had been sober for a year at the time of our meeting. The man expressed that his brother would never have walked into a yoga studio or other mainstream yoga setting but the accessible nature of Yoga Healing Arts Camp opened the gates to a life of yoga.
