Yoga Camp Intention
1. To provide a focused space for learning/sharing/teaching of yoga and other Healing Arts. Yoga means union and we use it in the broadest sense; breathwork, Tai Chi, Chi Gong, devotional music, conscious movement, meditation, spiritual study. Any system that purifies the body and aligns our mind with the One is Yoga.
2. To empower both teachers and students. Not only are students learning but those who wish to share can gain the experience of teaching. Baba Hari Dass says to "teach what you know". If we share what we know and do in our own practice then we have enhanced the knowledge of others and have been successful, empowering both teacher and student. Baba Hari Dass also says, "teach to learn". Teaching will teach you many lessons and take you deeper into your own practice.
3. By organizing and coordinating the yoga community at the Gathering we create a space where sisters and brothers can go anytime of the day and there will be classes taking place.
4. A variety of classes to show the full range of yoga and allow one to find a style that fits their individual temperament. No matter what some may say there is no one type of yoga that is the best. Yogic science is based on the principle that we are all unique and need individualized diets, yoga, colors, and religions. The most powerful yoga is the one that works the best for you.
