Yoga |
|
Yoga is the path back to Unity. It purifies body and mind and lets the light within the being shine like a million Suns. Yoga is Union . That which brings Union is Yoga, this can be the ancient system of Patanjali, as well as Tai Chi, Sufi spinning, dance or what ever brings the mind to silence so the inner Being can be heard/manifest. |

| Each system has its different benefits on various planes of existence and each system is suited to specific aspirants. Yoga is an individualized science as is its sisters of Ayurveda and Jyotish. There is no best method for everyone, the Supreme method is that which brings one into their Peace. Aum. |

The Three Sisters and Their Expansion of Our Awareness.Yoga makes one aware of the physical body and all its multi-dimensional components. Ayurveda takes the body awareness to merge into awareness of how the body interacts with the environment (seasons, food and age). Then Jyotish (Vedic astrology) takes the awareness to the next level. It brings awareness to the individual’s interaction with the universe (karmic plans). Jyotish is the eye of knowledge which reveals the how, why and when. Jyotish brings awareness to the cycles of time that we exist in; the bad day, the bad year, the period where there was nothing left living for, or the great spiritual period in the life. The highest level of yoga brings natural awareness of these time cycles to the yogi. But until that state is achieved jyotish is used. Just as yoga props help in attaining proper/safe alignment in a pose, understanding the time cycles helps in attaining beneficial planning in our life. |
| Traditional yoga/vedic philosophy gives four pillars to a complete life. These are compared to the four legs of a cow, without one, the cow doesn’t get around very well. They are called the chatur ayana (the four goals): 1. Dharma: fulfillment of purpose in life 2. Artha: sustenance, money, livelihood, that which puts a roof over your head and food in your stomache 3. Kama: desire, pleasure, spouse and family, the joys of being alive 4. Moksa: spirituality, meditation, yoga, liberation |

| Without any one of these four pillars life begins to miss something, to have a void that craves to be filled. The greatest yogi might have high spirituality but if they are starving they will be missing something. The richest businessman might have 10 million dollar houses but will be missing something without spirituality. A rich spiritual person may seem to have it made but if they do not understand their purpose in life and are not accomplishing it, they will feel a void, an emptiness. And anyone goes mad and commits sinful/demented acts if they are not having their kama fulfilled in the proper manner for their being. These are the four pillars taught to uphold the fulfillment of life. |

Yoga, Ayurveda, and Jyotish work together to ensure that these goals can be fulfilled. |
| Ayurveda gives the proper vehicle so that these can be attained. If the body is not healthy, the being cannot even begin to achieve these four pillars. They take life, energy and vitality to achieve. Yoga aids this healthy body as well as opens the door to the spiritual dimension of our being. By becoming more aware of the body/mind/spirit the natural spirituality will awake on its own. Jyotish helps guide us along showing us how to sustain ourselves financially and seeing those ups and downs, it helps us find our dharma so we understand our purpose in life. Some are born with full knowledge of what they are here to achieve, others need guidance to arrive in that place. All three sciences maintain as a philosophical foundation that we are all different. There is no best method for everyone, the Supreme method is that which brings one into their Peace. Aum. |
